Double DAX delight as the Brit kits storm Silverstone

Silverstone was taken by storm in July when no less than two super lightweight DAX Rush MC Turbo'busas joined a pack of British kit-cars to share the GP circuit with a host of more famous marques. Former DAX Driver of the Year Duncan Cowper brought his Rush Turbo'busa - which has been dominating sprinting in Essex - to back up DAX development engineer and test driver Gary Sanders, who had driven the factory demonstrator from Harlow. It was the first time two of these budget supercars had been seen together in one place outside of the factory. Both were soon on the track and turning rapid lap times. Duncan said: "There were a number of track racers out there with big wings and much more rubber on the road, but nothing which we couldn't keep up with. We were disposing of most cars as if they weren't there. On one lap I passed three Porsches down the straight just like that." The Best of British day at Silverstone was organised by Steve Hole of web magazine Total Kit Car (http://www.totalkitcar.com) in conjunction with Easytrack.

Revamped DAX web-site is a hit with the kit-car enthusiasts

Our improved and updated web-site is becoming one of the most popular kit-car sites on the web, with more than 400 people a day visiting its new 'for sale' section alone.

In fact, the advertising section - with separate sales areas for DAX Rush and DAX Tojeiro cars, other kit-cars, part-built cars and donor cars - has proved such a success that it has now been given its own web address and can be accessed directly at http://www.daxcars.com. Most cars have sold within two weeks and one within two days.

Advertising your car on the DAX web-site is free at the moment, but a charge will be introduced soon.

Duncan's DAX Rush Turbo'busa sets the sprint world alight

Former DAX Driver of the Year Duncan Cowper's new Rush Turbo'busa - which has been dominating sprinting in Essex since its class-winning debut in April - burst on to the national scene in July with a spectacular performance at Lydden Hill in Kent.

Duncan not only dominated his class, but set third fastest time of the day in a field of more than 100 cars, beating most of the single-seaters.

Duncan's car has just been the subject of a track test by Car and Car Conversions magazine, who described it as "one of the best packages, bang for buck, that they had ever seen".

Tojeiro build series

Please note that our DAX Tojeiro build series, which some of you may have noticed has not moved for some time, has now been abandoned. Unfortunately, delays beyond our control in the delivery of a very special engine simply went on for too long and we accepted somebody's offer to buy the car in its part-built state. We still plan to have another crack at a Toj-build series, but probably not until next year. Sorry.
