DAX warns of fakes as
Tojeiro
production tops 1000

DAX Tojeiro customers
have been warned to beware of fakes as production of the supercar soared past
1000 in its phase II, III and IV evolutions.
DJ MD Brian Johns
explained that all DAX Tojeiros should have a chassis number, a body number and
- apart from the earliest cars - a VIN plate. "We keep extensive records, so a
phone call to us should be enough to confirm the identity of all but the
earliest cars. There are also visual clues which will confirm the validity or
otherwise of a very early, modified or incomplete car.
"Prospective
customers who are being offered a DAX Tojeiro - or those who have already
purchased one and have any doubts - are welcome to take advantage of our offer
of a visual inspection on a ramp for the nominal sum of £50."
New
build manuals available for Rush and Tojeiro
DJ have produced new build
manuals for both the DAX Rush and the DAX Tojeiro.
"The previous
manuals had a number of annotations, amendments and supplements to reflect our
continuing programme of innovation and improvement," said DJ Managing Director
Brian Johns. "In particular, we are always keen to pass on better build
techniques to our customers as we identify them in the factory or are informed
of them by the customers themselves. New purchasers will receive the new
manuals as a matter or course and those who are part way through their build
can purchase an upgraded manual if they wish.
"In addition, we are
donating a copy of each manual to the relevant owners' clubs - the DAX Rush
Owners' Club and the Cobra Replica Club - so that the latest tips and
techniques can be made available to their members."
