DAX cats beat the SVA emissions blues

Stricter application of
Single Vehicle Approval emissions rules from 1st April could mean more kit car
builders will need to fit catalytic converters, but DJ Sportscars International
has already tackled the problem for its DAX range of specialist performance
cars…..by offering specialist performance cats.
The stainless steel
core, high-flow, low back pressure cats - which are incorporated into the
side-pipe assembly with minimal visual impact - have been available for some
time to meet demand from people wanting lower emissions, but they are about to
come into their own.
Lightweight DAX Rush will be Stoneleigh
show-stopper
DJ Sportscars International has something of a
reputation to uphold with its succession of spectacular DAX demonstrators…
and the latest sets even higher standards. The super-lightweight DAX Rush is
confidently expected to prove the star of the National Kit Car Motor Show at
Stoneleigh, Warwickshire on 6th and 7th May.
Shown in bare-chassis form
last year, the latest Rush derivative has benefited from a year's detailed
development. It is designed to make the most of the latest trend in
clubman-style sports cars….a motorcycle engine. The striking black and
silver demonstrator houses a turbo-charged Hayabusa unit with the ability to
produce more than 350 bhp. Designer Peter Walker said: "With not far short of
900 bhp per tonne, this car must be one of the quickest on the road in the
UK."
DAX Open Day will be lucky for some
Lucky
visitors to the DAX Open Day on Friday 13th April, will have a second chance to
view DJ Sportscars International's latest new build - the long wheel-base DAX
Rush - which made its show debut at Bingley on 10th and 11th March.
DAX
drivers from all over the UK - and from even further afield - are being invited
to visit the marque's Harlow, Essex factory on Good Friday for what has become
a successful Easter tradition.
