Record DAX sales as Rush owners storm Stoneleigh

DJ Sportscars International sold a record eight cars during the National Kit-Car Show at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, on May 5 and 6…. with orders from Rush and Tojeiro build specialists taking the total into double figures.

Meanwhile, the DAX Rush Owners' Club was setting a record of its own. Some 40 Rushes - the most ever seen together in one place - were gathered in the club's display area at the National Show Ground on the Sunday. This was the culmination of a weekend 'Extravaganza' which had included karting and a treasure hunt.

News of sprint victories for both Gino Cuomo in his 390 bhp Cosworth-powered DAX Rush Quadra 4 x4 and Duncan Cowper in his new 800 bhp-per-tonne, super-lightweight DAX Rush Turbo'busa capped a spectacular weekend for the marque.

Double debut delight for DAX Rush Hayabusa racers

TWO of DJ Sportscars International's super-lightweight DAX Rush Hayabusa racers hit the track in the March….and are already showing great promise.

Former sprint champion and DAX Driver of the Year Duncan Cowper in his new Rush Turbo'busa - fresh from stealing the show at Car Craft 2002 - won his class running as a reserve at a North Weald sprint in Essex.

Current DAX Driver of the Year Andy Sterling - holder of the Kit-Car Championship - shook down his normally-aspirated version in the first round of the 750 MC's motorcycle-engined series at Donington Park, Leicestershire, with a competitive fourth place and won at only his second attempt.

Record crowd flocks to DJ's annual DAX Open Day
DAX Rush racer Andy Sterling.		FINE weather drew record crowds to Harlow, Essex, on Good Friday for the annual Open Day at DJ Sportscars International. Both DAX Rush and DAX Tojeiro models were well represented, with a strong turn-out from members of both the DAX Rush Owners' Club and the Cobra Replica Club. "I don't think I've ever seen so many of our cars in one place," said DJ managing director Brian Johns. "They were driving round and round the block looking for places to park…we filled up every nook and cranny. "It certainly made it easier for us to believe that we are now the biggest car manufacture in Essex."
