DAX Rush dominates to claim Kit-Car
Championship
DAX Rush driver Andy Sterling has claimed an emphatic class
and overall victory in the grp.com Kit-Car Championship - clinching the title
at Cadwell Park with one round left to run, then celebrating with victory in
the final event at Snetterton on Sunday 28 October.
It was a long
overdue result for Andy, from Brockenhurst in Hampshire, who finished second
twice and third once in the 750 Motor Club-run championship in the preceding
seasons….despite winning more races over that time than anyone
else.
His DAX Rush IRS chassis - powered by an SU-carburetted Rover V8
and fitted with DAX designer Peter Walker's unique Camber Compensation and
Anti-Roll system front and rear - must be one of the most successful ever at
this level of competition, having notched up 21 firsts, seven seconds and six
thirds in the last three years. It will now be rebuilt and offered for sale in
road trim.

November sales of the DAX Rush and Dax Tojeiro component sportcars
in response to anniversary offers have boosted Essex car makers DJ towards an
expected annual sales record.
To celebrate 20 years production of the
DAX Tojeiro, already a classic in its own right, the company offered its
traditional ladder frame chassis - which now comes as standard with backbone
brace and integral fuel tank support - to the next 20 customers at a one-off
special price of £995 with vat….a saving of nearly £300.
No less than eight were snapped up in the first week and more orders
were taken following DJ's display at the Exeter kit-car show on 17 and 18
November.
The DAX Rush is celebrating a birthday of its own, having
been in production for 10 years. To mark the occasion, DJ is offering the De
Dion Build Pack One to 10 customers for £1750 including vat - a saving of
nearly £250 - in car-engined format; or £1950 with vat in
motorcycle-engined format, saving nearly £280.
